I’ve done this a few times, mainly in D&D, and it seems to start with the whole group keeping track until a couple of characters come out in a bit of a lead. After that, most people stop keeping track and the two leaders do everything they can to pull out ahead. Including the argument that a giant is surely worth three orks etc.
I think you should aggregate by XP value of slain monsters, which is more representative of the difficulty of killing them. Otherwise, Ungrid has kind of a cheap lead with his extra Goblin and Kobold kills which are meaningless compared to other kill rates, for example Idni’s multiple Ogre kills and the Iron Statue / Crystal Statue situation. That said, the numerical total does support the general “Idni and Ungrid kicking ass” trend. It’s just that Zarkov could easily focus on the weakest monsters in any fight and bring his numbers up, which is just silly.
I’m leaving the list to the players to sort out. So far no one has tried taking down lesser monsters just because they’re easier to kill, but give them time and I’m sure someone will think of it. And poor Zarkov has such a low score because he is hopeless at hitting anything. He’s more of a healer (he carries the Staff of Healing) and thinker.
