In the southern jungles of the world lives a tiny terror known as the Dreaded Finger Monkey. Although small– they cling to a human’s finger– they travel in swarms of over fifty, feasting on prey that they clamber over and pull down to the ground. Deceptively cute, they are vicious predators and have been known to strip the flesh from a dwarf in a matter of seconds, especially if that dwarf has been pelted with mashed-up bananas (a fruit that the monkey’s prize as a delicacy).

Finger Monkey Swarms typically occupy a 10′ by 30′ area, and need no attack roll to hit; however, an attack roll is necessary if the monkeys wish to pull their victim prone. A save versus paralysis negates this. Anyone swarmed takes 1d6 damage per round. Weapons and torches do 1d4 damage to a swarm, fire and cold-based attacks do normal damage, and a sleep spell will put the whole swarm to sleep.
Note: this is just a bit of fun. However, I fully expect to use this in an adventure; players be warned :)
