“A dynamic lair is a small dungeon or lair, created in advance like a point of interest, which includes 1-3 encounters.” ACKS page 236.
This week’s lair is that of the humble Cockatrice:
The Garden Statuary
Adjacent to a decrepit, ruined house is a small garden overgrown with wild flowers, weeds, and weeping willows. Statues, extremely life-like, are dotted around the garden in poses of surprise, horror, or in the throes of fighting. A nest of twigs and leaves and bones rests under one dense willow, opposite a fountain that no longer works and merely collects rainwater. In this nest can be found a solitary cockatrice.
