RPG Cartography, Adventures and Books of Lairs

A New Focus

I started this blog back in 2011, a mix of rudimentary maps, ill-thought out ideas, and play reports from various campaigns. Interest in keeping it updated waned, posts came fewer and fewer (there were only 5 last year) and it was hard to compete with all those other blogs out there.

So, time for a change and a different focus. Last year I redesigned this site to focus more on my map-making, RPG books (the Book of Lairs series) and hopefully more commissions. I’ve decided to start again from scratch and have deleted all the previous posts, a clean slate, ready to kick this blog into focus again.

So what can you expect to see in the following weeks, months, hopefully years?

  • Maps!
    • In particular: further lairs for those in the Adventurer, Conqueror, King System (ACKS): Lairs & Encounters book, which I drew over two-dozen maps for originally.
  • Adventures!
    • 1-page dungeon-style adventures every so often, similar to the 2-page spread of my series of locations in the various Book of Lairs.
  • Spire!
    • Supplementary information for my Spire setting, such as new character classes, monster stats, magic items and so forth (using the ACKS rules, since I’m most familiar with them).
  • Selfpromotion!
    • For my RPG books, Patreon site, and commissions.

Over the next few weeks I’ll be posting the first of the new ACKS Lairs that I’ve been working on, as well as promoting my RPG books and Patreon site.

Map Suggestions

I’m always on the look-out for ideas for new maps, so if anyone has any suggestions, post a comment and I’ll add it to my list and post the result here once I’ve got around to drawing it.
